"This verse has ended.

Our destiny is sealed to a once unthinkable fate. We have found new allies in an ancient foe... And enemies in our siblings.

The honor of the Warden way, like a pyre in the blackness of space has guided us to our home on Terra.

Kerensky foretold us of this Eden with a promise of deliverance. We will defend it to our deaths!

Let the next verse begin. "

Do you need anything more than an awesomely detailed bot walking on moon? I don't think so. I personally fell in love with the light in this scene. ( Featured by taenaron )

This is my favorite. Although the MadCat having a bad design issue, via the Cockpit being the center mass, it just shows how much of a bad-ass the MadCat is, especially on the moon. Also, I think this is supposed to be from the ending of MechWarrior II, if you play as the Clan Wolves. Those words I remember...

The MadCat is one of my favourite Mechs from Battletech. I have about 3 painted models of them. You are correct about the MW2 Ending, I remember it too, when the MadCat walks forward and all the ships head towards Earth.

Hey my Battlezone 1 NSDF hovertanks fought the CCA long and hard for that moon, gerrof! And those CCA all had surnames like Kerensky CURSE YOU!   Seriously though, nice job, particularly on the camo, grey on grey can't be easy to draw.

And it has LRM20s for a change. Still, I seem to be missing the four machine guns.

I know they technically do, but in so many official art works, they have four, and two medium pulse lasers. Personally, I like the versions with double the firepower on the torso.

This is such a solid looking model of the Timberwolf. Doesn't look like it would fall apart like a lot of older BT artwork.

Also, loving the detail you put into this. Very cool ^_^

Of all the OmniMechs the Timberwolf is my favorite. The perfect balance of mobility, firepower, and defense. Plus it looks great. You really nailed the last part, doubly so with it stood seemingly standing guard over the 'Shining jewel of Terra'.

This is one of the few Timberwolf (Madcat) images that
captures the complete heart and soul of both the design and the factions that wield it. This artwork is fantastic!

Its just a shame the Timberwolf in BT represents more of the weaknesses of the clan then the strengths of the clan.

How so? The Timber Wolf is regarded as a symbol of the Clan's military might.

Or perhaps their naivete, the design has several glaring design faults, such as unprotected missile launchers, a poorly placed cockpit and vulnerable arm assemblies. The cocpit placement is by far the worst though as it cant be corrected without radical torso redesign. Consider this, tanks and mech pilots alike a are trained to aim for center mass, the cockpit is dead set over the frontal center mass making it more likely a madcat will be down a pilot then most other designs. At least in the Vulture the cockpit is up top and not where everyone will instinctively aim.

to use a metaphor; the gun itself isn't fearsome...it's the bullets that are fired out of it you have to worry about. In that way the madcat itself isn't scary, it's the firepower it can apply that is the point of worry. Nevermind it's laid out poorly so much so there have been what five redesigns all of which tried to edit out the over exposed cockpit.
