What was supposed to be something very quick and simple, turned out to become the exact opposite...
Anyways. Here is my latest doodle: A desktop sized picture of a Warhammer standing on the surface of some asteroid. I chose to use very little colors because i wanted to emphasize the barrenness of the environment. And lets face it, space doesn't have the brilliant colors we see in games and movies.
The basic concept and layout for this was done in something like 30 minutes, but I spent 3-4 days tweaking it. Finally got tired of it and decided to upload it here.
Tried a few new things with this piece: I made my first attempt at a nebula and an asteroid belt. Turned out ok I guess...
Tools used: Wings3D, Yafray, Terragen, LunarCell, Photoshop.

Nicely done did you use the Japanese Toy as a model for this? The details look very like the old model/toy I had. Very well done!
