The Seeker by Punakettu The Seeker by Punakettu
This is the Core commander from the awesome strategy game "Total annihilation". What he is doing in that forest in the middle of the night is up to you.

After I had rigged the model and made a procedural texture on it that I liked, it was time to try some poses and camera angles. I usually find a good one in no time and then I begin to build a scene around it. This time was no different.

Inspiration struck and I just couldn't stop working on this picture until it was done. About 40 hours put in to it over a 4 day period. I had so much fun doing this scene that I'll probably do another one later with a different setting.

Changed the material to something a little more metallic

I don't, but I wouldn't say "no" outright if asked either.

Pretty!
I also like how you made the size comparison with the trees considering a Commander unit is around 20 meters tall :)

Wow, I like how you worked the design of the core commander. The style is very original, yet still has that "Total Annihilation" feel. I'm really loving the lighting and details. I think you're doing a lot of TA fans great justice. ^^

I was balancing between making the thing look like the original and fit my usual style. Suppose I pulled it off. I had to stop myself from going too far frequently.

I don't seem to have that much TA fans watching me, but I hope to attract more since I'm not going to stop making TA pictures even though Battletech is my bread and butter so to speak.

That's really awesome of you. And I think you made some very good decisions when it came to reserving yourself from going too far.

There really aren't too many TA artists out there that actually actively make TA art, so I'll definitely have to watch you for more. ^^

Oh, memories. I would always D-Gun trees in my way. It's a waste of energy, but it's so much fun!
